Our philosophy
The human body is a tensegrity system — a masterpiece of structural engineering in which the skeletal framework and muscular network exist in continuous, interdependent tension. Your bones never actually touch; it is the seamless interplay of compressed structure and tensioned fascia that holds you upright, keeps you mobile, and allows you to move without pain.
When one component of that system carries more load than it should — whether from injury, surgery, compensation, or years of repetitive movement — the entire structure is compromised. This is not a mechanical failure. It is a pattern that can be identified, addressed, and corrected.

Meet the founder
Her story
Devi Rieker's path to founding Design 2 Move Pilates spans nearly two decades, two continents, and a deeply personal understanding of what it means to reclaim your body. Born in Indonesia and active from childhood — dancing, swimming, competing in Taekwondo, and cheering — she experienced firsthand how a demanding professional career can quietly erode physical vitality.
That turning point led her to leave the corporate world in 2006 and dedicate herself entirely to movement, health, and the study of the human body. She pursued full STOTT PILATES® certification and co-founded a Pilates studio in Jakarta before relocating to Chandler, Arizona in 2017.

Since establishing D2M, Devi has added advanced certifications in post-rehabilitation, athletic conditioning, fascial movement, and barre — and continues to grow through Kinesiology studies at ASU. Her clients range from post-surgical recovery patients rebuilding foundational movement to competitive triathletes refining performance and preventing injury.
